Articulate Rise Change Continue Button Color

Adding a continue button to a Knowledge Check

If navigation is restricted to the lesson throughout the course can I add a continue button under take again at the completion of the knowledge check instead of requiring a learner to click in the sidebar to get to the end of the lesson?

Hi Rhonda!

We've added an option to choose a continue button style on the quiz results page. Now, your learners will see the familiar continue button that adopts your course theme color if you select this option in the quiz settings.

We're here if you have questions about how this feature works.

I have found the "continue button style" option, but it doesn't change when clicked.  [Revised: it doesn't appear in the preview, but it seems to appear when sharing the link to others.] No such continue button appears.  Also, the score of the test does not seem to work with readers for visually impaired (at least NVDA).

Same here.  I have a Knowledge Check set up as "QUIZ" content (not "LESSON" content) and selected "continue button style" in the Quiz settings but the continue button does not appear when I publish it.  I have the setting "Require Passing Score to Continue" to OFF.

Any advice?  I could perhaps create the KC questions in a Content section, but it would then lack the Results screen.  Any advice?

Hi Hugh! Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the continue button in the quiz lesson. To help figure out what might be causing the issue, can you send me a screenshot of the quiz settings and the results screen after all quiz questions have been answered?

Hi Chino, I have the same issue as the two users above. I created a "quiz" content and selected "continue button style" in the settings and the "Require passing score to continue" is on OFF.

However, after the results is shown, there is no "Continue" button appearing. Attached is a print screen of my settings and the Results screen.

Can you help?

Thank you!

Actually, forget my question, I just got the answer from one of your colleagues. The Continue button only appears if there is a lesson after the Quiz.

Hi Chino, sorry that I missed this - we reworked the questions a bit and found a different solution for our KC.  I will reach out again if this is an issue for us.  I appreciate the response!

I'm having this same problem -- Rise does not add a continue button at the end of quiz for the quiz I created in the last week (screenshot RiseQuizEndScreen-nobutton.png) -- same behavior in Rise preview and in SCORMCloud. There is a lesson following the quiz in both courses. The settings are the same; the only difference (I think) is that the quiz with the button displaying was created a couple years ago.

Hi Whitney! Thanks for taking those screenshots, looks like you had some trouble getting the next lesson button to appear.

Can you please share your course with us by opening up a case here? Our support engineers will be happy to take a look!

To update -- I needed to turn on Previous & Next buttons in Course Settings > Navigation so that the Continue bar would be displayed on the quiz results screen. Turning on this option does NOT interfere with the "Continue" block in a lesson.

Thanks, Whitney: "To update -- I needed to turn on Previous & Next buttons in Course Settings > Navigation so that the Continue bar would be displayed on the quiz results screen."

This is extremely frustrating because I just read another post that suggested turning off the Previous & Next buttons to resolve a different problem, which is that the Lesson Count numbers will NOT disappear even though I toggled that option off.

I am experiencing the same issue for both.  I turned off Previous & Next buttons so now my Continue bar does not display.  Then, I also turned off the lesson count numbers because I didn't want them to display either.  I still cannot get my Continue button to return after the Quiz.

Hi, Cassandra! Do you also get the same results when you enable the Previous & Next Buttons in the Navigation settings? If so, please open a support case here so our customer support engineers can take a closer look.
